New webpages concerning standardisation of Terms in Medicinal Product Basic Data

Changes

Norwegian Medical Products Agency (NoMA) will expand its collaboration with many stakeholders to ensure that from the start we use correct terminology in the core medicinal data. This is an important contribution to the proper use of medicines.

We are committed to following IDMP, Identification of Medicinal Products, according to the five ISO standards. This is a prerequisite for structuring and sharing data, not least for use in the national eHealth chain. It is therefore crucial that we use correct terms from the start in our publishing solutions such as FEST and the FHIR API.
At the same time, we want to be prepared to share information internationally in connection with ePrescription across Europe. See also information about European Health Data Space Regulation (EHDS).

Therefore, NOMA has published webpages with standardized names for substances, coding systems, and ATC terms for marketed medicines, as well as similar information used for dietary supplements.
